What Aircraft do the Raiders Use?

The Raiders perform their parachute displays from a variety of aircraft including military helicopters and civillian fixed-wing aircraft.

Royal Navy Aircraft

The Royal Navy's own Fleet Air Arm provide the team with aircraft such as the Sea King Mk4 and Lynx Mk3/8. Visit the links page to browse to the Royal Navy website for detailed information about these aircraft and other aircraft used in Royal Navy Operations.

Other Military Aircraft

Sometimes military aircraft from other Services are used. Raiders displays have previously included the CH-47 (Chinook) and Puma as well as the C130 Hercules during a Tri-Service display.

Civillian Aircraft

Sometimes military aircraft are unavailable for tasking to a Raiders display. The alternative is to use civillian aircraft, usually fixed wing, such as the Cessna 206, a common aircraft used in sport skydiving.
