New Team Leader / OCLt Cdr Tom Canty RN has been the Team Leader for the RN Raiders since the 2010 Season. After his Second season in charge, he has been appointed back to an Engineering job at Sea. Despite completing around 30 displays annually, it would be easy to assume that the team are full time. In fact, the RN Raiders comprises Officers and Ratings/Other Ranks from many different Units in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. Tom concludes this season with a display into Newbury Racecourse in October (weather dependent).
New Team Leader - Lt Dave Lee RNLt Dave Lee RN, a team member since 2005 will be taking the reigns from Sep 11. Dave has worked closely with Tom during the current season acting as 2I/C and Deputy Team Leader. Having gained his BPA Team Leader qualification, Dave's first job will be to run the Annual Training Camp in 2012 to ensure the Raiders are trained and safe to display in public. |
